Dr. Jon Butler of Yale University speaks to teachers during a 2006 TAH symposium
The Georgia Historical Society is proud to have partnered with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System on five successful Teaching American History grant programs over the past six years.  These programs for local teachers are designed to increase teacher content knowledge in American history.

Three separate TAH programs will be running concurrently during the 2007-2008 school year.  GHS continues to bring nationally recognized historians to speak to our teachers during the school-year symposia series.
