Georgia Historical Society Seeks Book Donations For Annual Book Sale

Savannah, Ga., March 19, 2015 - The Georgia Historical Society is seeking donations of books of all kinds for our annual Book Sale. The Book Sale, held annually in April, raises much needed funds for the GHS Research Center. Proceeds from the sale help GHS care for the oldest collection of Georgia history in the world and also allow us to make new acquisitions to expand the collection for future generations of researchers.

GHS is currently very low on donations for the 2015 book sale, scheduled for April 25th, and without additional public donations this well attended, annual event is in danger of cancellation this year. We accept donations of all sizes including rare and non-rare: fiction, poetry, children’s, and all non-fiction subjects including history, biography, current events, how-to, religion, business, self-help, cooking, gardening, etc. All donations are tax deductible and are being accepted Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Gaston Street entrance to Hodgson Hall. 501 Whitaker Street in Savannah.

For more information about how to donate your books contact the Research Center at library@georgiahistory.com or (912) 651-2128.
