A native of Lakeland, Georgia, Grace Greer Phillips graduated from Agnes Scott College. Phillips served as Governor Joe Frank Harris’s executive assistant for eight years and as a member of his senior staff. From 1990-1997 she served as director of the Division of Licensure and Quality Assurance of the State Board of Workers Compensation. In addition to serving on the GHS Board, she also served on the board of Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, Kiwanis Club of downtown Atlanta, Familes First, and the Georgia Trust. She was a member of the Georgia Executive Women’s Network, and Leadership Atlanta.
