Ashley Rainge-Shields joins the GHS staff as a Development Associate. Ashley is a New York native who settled in Savannah after spending many years on different military bases around the United States and Germany. Most recently, Ashley served as the director of fund development and communications at Healthy Savannah. Prior to that, she held a variety of roles at the Coastal Heritage Society, including membership coordinator, interim development coordinator, and historical interpreter. She also serves as a member of several community/statewide organizations, including the Savannah – Chatham County Historic Sites and Monuments Commission as vice chair, the Racial Equity and Leadership (REAL) Savannah Taskforce, and the American Civil Liberties Union (Georgia Chapter). Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in Medieval history and philosophy from Fordham University.
