Field Trips to the Research Center

The Georgia Historical Society offers unique field trip experiences to the Research Center in Savannah. Surrounded by the beauty of historic Hodgson Hall, students explore primary source material from the collection and learn about archives, research, and history.

Teachers can work with GHS education staff to develop a custom field trip based on a historical topic or era or request the following existing program:

    • Research Roundup: Help! I’ve Been Assigned a Research Paper

Research Center field trips are open to students in grades 5-12 and are ideal for groups of 30 students or less (call to discuss accommodations for larger groups). Typical field
trips last 1.5 to 2 hours.
