Field Trips to the Research Center
GHS Research Center Temporarily Closing for Renovation and Expansion
The Georgia Historical Society Research Center in Savannah will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Thanksgiving 2018. The Research Center will reopen in the fall of 2020 following a much-needed renovation and expansion.
Field trips as well as research and image request services will be unavailable during this time. On-line resources will continue to be available on the GHS website. The administrative offices located in the Jepson House Education Center will continue to operate on a normal schedule throughout the closure. GHS educational programming and the annual Georgia History Festival will not be affected.
If you have any questions please contact Patricia Meagher, Director of Communications, at (912) 651-2125, ext. 122.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to welcoming our members and patrons to the newly-renovated Research Center in 2020!
