Join us for an evening with Pulitzer Prize-winning and bestselling author Rick Atkinson as he and GHS Senior Historian Dr. Stan Deaton discuss The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, 1944-1945, the latest and final book in Atkinson’s Liberation Trilogy.
Other books in the Trilogy include An Army at Dawn (winner of the Pulitzer Prize for history) and The Day of Battle. Atkinson’s awards include a Pulitzer Prize for journalism, the George Polk award, and the Pritzker Military Library Literature Award. Atkinson is also the author of The Long Gray Line, In the Company of Soldiers, and Crusade.
The Georgia Historical Society is pleased to bring this program to Savannah FREE and open to the public.
