Georgia Historical Quarterly

Georgia Historical Quarterly

The Georgia Historical Quarterly is one of the premier state historical journals in the United States, published quarterly by the Georgia Historical Society.

The Quarterly features the finest scholarly articles on Georgia history, book reviews covering all aspects of southern and Georgia history, edited primary sources, oral histories, and essays by and about contemporary history-makers.

The Georgia Historical Society has published the Quarterly continuously since 1917. Its scholarly excellence has been recognized by the governor of Georgia with a Governor’s Award in the Humanities.

The Georgia Historical Quarterly is received by all members of the Georgia Historical Society, as well as almost 1,000 university, college, and public libraries, historical societies, and other educational and governmental institutions.

The Georgia Historical Quarterly is also available on JSTOR. For those without access to a JSTOR account, limited access to JSTOR materials is available for free through the JSTOR Register and Read program. Please see the topic below for instructions on accessing the Quarterly on JSTOR.
