Get ready for the 8th grade Georgia Milestones end of grade assessment with an updated WebQuest for students. The Georgia Milestones Assessment System (Georgia Milestones) is a comprehensive summative assessment program spanning grades three through high school. Georgia Milestones measures how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in the state-adopted content standards in English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The social studies assessment for 8th grade focuses on Georgia history, geography, and economics.

Each year, 8th grade students across the state take the Georgia Milestones Assessment in Social Studies in April, and the Georgia Historical Society has created an updated webquest to help get them ready.

This resource uses the webquest model to help students review key concepts, people, and events from the Georgia Standards of Excellence in Social Studies using Today in Georgia History episodes, collection items, and other online resources. Students will answer five guided questions for each standard by visiting provided hyperlinks.
